The deck
FIFTY TWO
One design language at two scales. The showcase card is the ornate one, the face a member or a game wears. The play card is the compact one, built so a rank and a suit still read when twenty of them overlap.
Two scales
Same shape, same cut corners, same gold hairline inside the bezel. The play card is not the showcase card shrunk, it is redrawn, because the ornate frame stops reading below about a hundred and twenty pixels wide.
The cascade test
This is the case the compact card exists for. Ten cards stacked with only the top strip of each one showing. If you can read every rank and suit here, it works.
Every card
Four suits, thirteen ranks. The pip stays classic red or black because that is the only thing a player reads at speed. The member color lives in the stripe down the left edge instead.
Showcase cards
The full size face. This is the component the member pages will use, so it is built once here and imported there.
